The early Desert

Mothers and Fathers bequeathed to the world a vibrant Christianity gleaned from a life lived in solitude and prayer. They removed themselves from the commercialism and consumerism of the urban life of their time to seek God’s Presence and be tested in the desert as Jesus was. From this life they provide us today with perspectives on living with simplicity, creation and a faith grounded in the barest of essentials.
