The spiritual writer, Henri Nouwen, describes hospitality as the “creation of free space”; space in which relationships are deepened and expanded and personal transformation can take place. Our understanding of hospitality has often been too narrowly focused. This retreat day will provide space to move us more deeply into the hospitality that finds its source in the Divine, is encountered in the evolutionary process, in the revelation of Scripture and nature and is the the heart of human longing and faith. The day will include: time for personal and communal prayer and reflection, 2 presentations, times of silence, a delicious home-cooked lunch and refreshments and the use of a personal room in a beautiful lakeside setting. Facilitator: Sister Mary Rowell, CSJ. Suggested offering for the day $50.00.
