Gentle movements with prayer.. Cost is $50
The Praying with the Body retreat will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
9:00 a.m. will be check in time
9:15 a.m. we will start with an Opening Circle for orientation with a Sister and then a quick introduction of the retreatants.
9:45 a.m. Prayer with the Body session will begin. It will be 45 minutes of gentle seated stretches and standing stretch flows with prayer.
Afterwards there will be time to wander the beautiful grounds in silence and perhaps meditate on the outdoor Labyrinth.
12:00 noon lunch will be served. Conversation will be permitted during lunch hour.
1 p.m. we will practice a seated meditation and a circle walking meditation.
Following there will be silent free time.
3 p.m. we reconvene to practice Shibashi's 18 standing, stretching movements and end with a Closing Circle with a Sister
* If the weather is good we can do Shibashi outside.
* It will be helpful to bring a resistance band or strap and an exercise mat for the standing stretches and a water bottle.

Born and raised in Toronto, Indira is proud grandmother and a dedicated fitness instructor, hosting retreats, private lessons, as well as instructing classes for the City of Markham, since 2018. Over the past year, Indira has had the privilege of guiding sessions in "Prayer with the Body" at The Bridge Markham Community Church. Her journey as an instructor began from a deep desire to share the transformative benefits of fitness with others. She believes in the power of integrating mind, body, and spirit through movement and prayer, fostering holistic well-being in every class.
